The 3-Speed ProSeries 1420 is suitable for higher functioning children, teens, and adults. This model features 3 speed internal hubs and coaster brakes.1400 Seating system provides full support to riders with low tone, trunk control. They can be adapted to meet the need of a wide size of riders, as four seat post positions can accommodate multiple leg lengths. The saddle seat and 1400 seatback can be positioned up/down and in/out. The adjustable lateral supports with chest strap add additional trunk support or can be taken off if not needed. Quick release cam levers allow positioning the telescoping handlebars to any height or distance to the rider. Expanding  pedals with 2 straps adjust from 7 inches to 10 inches.  A loading brake makes transfer of rider safe and easy. The ProSeries 1416 can be adapted with a wide variety of seating options and accessories so that most riders can feel safe and secure.

3-Speed Features

Riders for the 3-speed coaster must be able to make a complete pedal rotation on their own. This tryke is suitable for riders who need help with balance and stable sitting postioning. Riders must have the cognitive level and ability to steer successfully, apply the coaster brake and /or hand brake. This model is designed to allow the freedom for a rider to use on a fairly level bike trail, tackle small terrain changes, and ride for extended periods with family and friends.

Key features of the 3 speed option is the ability to coast. This contrasts with the basic ProSeries 1416 single speed model that teaches pedaling and forces full range of motion through the positive drive function (no coasting)
